Chongqing boasts abundant human resources. It has 63 colleges and universities, 270 secondary vocational schools, and 4,400 vocational and technical training institutions. Each year, there is an output of about 300,000 graduates from various level of schools, and 270,000 skilled workers.
Meanwhile, the Comprehensive Area for Aviation Industry in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area has established a talents support system covering full-time academic education, vocational education, and professional trainings including pilot training.First, Chongqing University has established the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics with focus on training professionals in the field of general aircraft.
Second, two vocational training institutions, namely, CAFUC Chongqing College and Chongqing Aviation Vocational College, have settled in Chongqing. It is estimated that after the two institutions are put into use, 300 pilots, 1,000 crew members, and 9,000 supporting members for crew will be trained each year.
Third, two flight training centers in partnership with airlines like China Express and Yuxiang Airlines have been settled in Chongqing, which will carry out the refreshment of in-service pilots and flight attendants and aircraft maintenance for Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and other mainstream models. Such qualification training already conducted for CCAR-60 and CCAR-142 will be expanded to CCAR-121, CCAR-145, and CCAR-147 in the future.
